501(c)3 Organization

Denver Permaculture
Guild

clients:

Deb, Lee, + Louis

The Denver Permaculture Guild has been a thriving community organization for several years, so their new status as an official 501(c)3 (whoo hoo!) felt like the perfect time for them to reinvigorate their outdated website and upgrade their ecommerce solutions to handle their increased membership and class offerings.

I redesigned the Guild’s website layout to better guide visitors through the variety of their offerings by providing clear Call-To-Action buttons, easy navigation, and an intuitive layout. I touched up their old copy with an editing eye focused on clarity and readibility.

To reduce the manual processing load from the volunteer board, I then set up and integrated an ecommerce system with membership and subscription capabilities, allowing their community to more efficiently purchase memberships, courses, and workshops, receive member discounts, and take advangtage of flexible payment options. To make their new systems more user-friendly, I setup email automations to funnel their communications stream and better connect with their members and extended community.

Food truck + catering

Miss B's Vietnamese

CLIENT:

Kim

When Kim left her teaching life behind and started a food truck (learn more about her journey here), I was all in to help bring her brand to life.

She needed her authentic passion for food to stand out and wanted to incorporate touches of her ancestral homeland while also recognizing her brand needed to stand out in the hot Denver food truck scene.

Kim’s personal style is adventurous and trendy, so clearly her namesake brand  needed to reflect her fun personality!  We decided to base “Miss B” off the O.G Miss B; I drew Kim riding on a typical Vietnamese scooter, loaded with ingredients for her famous banh mis!

Kim needed Miss B’s truck to stand out in a crowd, so I opted for bright contrasting colors to draw attention and highlight the Miss B mascot. To emphasize her Eastern/Western roots, Miss B is positioned heading from the Eastern rice paddy fields into the city of Denver, with the purple Rocky Mountains peeking over the western horizon.

I designed Miss B’s website to be simple and mobile responsive; it provides fast access to her truck schedule, her menu, and her contact info. It also features mouth-watering shots of her menu and details on her pricing and catering options.  Her integrated brand colors are lively and vibrant, mimicking her rainbow-colored food!

Dog training + education

Wagging
Pawsibilities

CLIENT:

Ethan

Ethan might have the best job ever-he’s a dog trainer and is surrounded by the cutest pups all day everyday! He started his business, Wagging Pawsibilities, in 2013 and has been growing ever since.  He offers a variety of dog training classes and special workshops and even does special work with foster and rescue pups, too!

He came to me looking for a way to replace the manual registration process he had been using with a digital one that would reduce his paperwork and payment chasing headaches!  He was also looking to update his DIY site and give it a more professional look.

Ethan’s big need was a redesigned website that is inviting and easy to navigate; he has a lot of classes and workshops and needed to ensure that his clients could easily find and register for his educational offerings. His new layount now allows for potential customers to easily explore all of his classes and register for them with just a few clicks of a button.  It also allows for him to easily duplicate previous class offerings, meaning less time spent setting up his schedule!

Ethan had also been burdened by manually communicating registration information to clients, so I integrated email automations that allow for customers to get all the information they need the moment they click ‘purchase’–no more copy + paste-ing required.

Nurtrition counseling

Benevolent Bodies

CLIENT:

Natalie

Natalie was in the process of starting her nutrition counseling business and needed support for both developing a brand that would resonate with her target audience as well as a website that could convert new clients.

We started our collaborative process by looking at other nutritionists and counselors to discuss how we could distinguish her vibe from them and emphasize her Health at Every Size philosophy.  From there, we moved into discussions about how important it was for the site to feel welcoming and feature diverse images of confident women.

It was really important for her that the imagery in the branding focus on body positivity and avoid the stigma of size in relation to nutrition and healthy eating, so we landed on a female outline that was fluid and not focused on curves but rather on the heart centric nature.  Natalie wanted her branding to signal calm, so I used colors of nature  and further emphasized her logo with line drawings of flowers within her brand colors throughout the site.

For the site, I focused on clear calls to action, a user friendly layout, and copy that would speak directly to Natalie’s target market. We both loved how it turned out!

Health + Wellness

England
Esthetics

CLIENT:

Alexandria

Alexandria is a total #bossbabe and was looking to level up her branding as she moved into her newest studio space. Her DIY brand was okay, but she knew she wanted her brand to reflect her quality and trend-forward services.

Alexandria is artistically drawn to sacred geometry and the cycles of the moon, so I knew I wanted to incoporate some geometric modernity in her logo; I pulled together a soft color palette that would envoke the essence of spa and relaxation and featured bronze metallics to add a sense of luxury to the brand.

For the logo, I blended the geometric and moon elements with a profile of a face and added contrasting fonts to evoke femininity and modernity. I also integrated succulents into England Esthetic’s business card that played off the brand colors.
